Blogrush? Fuggedaboudit, it's muppetry of the highest order
Sarah has just come out with some code to take on Blogrush at their own game. Basically, the code polls a whole bunch of RSS feeds (that are input into your blogroll section), takes the latest post of each feed and presents them nicely.
By nicely, I mean without use of javascript, hence you now have no more PRIVACY concerns and your blog passes "JUICE" to those other blogs that you consider to be interesting.
So, rather than having to rely on some untargetted javascript solution (that'd be Blogrush) which does no good for 99.9% of it's user base (that'd be you muppets who bought into the Blogrush Hype)…everyone now has a better solution which can be as targetted as you like and styled exactly how you like. You do realise that it's only those with massive MLM style downlines that are actually getting viable traffic via Blogrush?
So, without further ado, get yourself over to AIS By Sarah and ask if you can have the code she's come up with. It's great. You can see it in action (currently polling only Sarahs own RSS feed and the feed of JC Commerce) in the bottom right hand side of the footer. I'll add some more in tomorrow…
Blogrush is a great idea, let down by poor execution and poor planning. Sarahs version is much more useful and usable. Tell all your friends about it!

Sarah's script is neat and I certainly wouldn't mind adding it to my blog to share some link love for the blogs I read.
I second the BlogRush sentiment- I have been seeing posts all week about how it is not performing as it should. Its kinda shocking really, it usually takes a month or so before the current internet marketing crap-of-the-day wears off the hype… this only took a couple days.

Well the code is available as a WordPress plugin now at http://www.stuffbysarah.net/blog/wordpress-plugins/
Once I can suss the admin panel bit it should be a whole lot easier to manage!
Thanks for the mention Gary
