Does promoting Affiliate products work?

In a previous post I showed how choosing the right product, and then targetting the right sort of (potential) buyers usually results in a good buying rate.

I thought that readers might like to see the same screenshot for the year so far.

As you can see, I have made 123 sales from 334 uniques. I think that you will agree that this is not too shabby.

Over at thatedeguy, there is a nice post which gives more links to people earning from Affiliations.

Conclusion

Does promoting Affiliate products impact your bottom-line positively? Yep, but only if you actually promote services and products that people want to purchase.

What's the point in promoting a book about bass-fishing to people looking for advice on how to fix a car engine.

Marry the product to the customer, or the customer to the product, and you'll get a very nice signup/buy rate…it's all about hitting the Bulls Eye.
