You MUST accept Paypal

Earlier today, I was looking at some options to get one of latest product launches a bit more publicity. The thought occured to me that I might just as well spend some cash on getting some bloggers to write reviews รก la "pay per post" or "review me"…

I already have a "Text Link Ads" account, and it appears that the "Review Me" people are linked, as I was able to log in using the same details. I found a couple of blogs that are the right fit for my product, and at a decent price. Then I realised that Review Me appear not to accept Paypal - I got as far as filling out the details required, which then brings the "payment" screen. Options for Visa, MC etc - nothing for Paypal. I didn't bother completing the transaction :(

For most Internet Marketers, the money held in a Paypal account is "play money" - in other words, it's there ready for use to purchase bits and pieces from eBay, to purchase affiliated products and so on. In fact, I rarely shop at any site that does not accept Paypal. I'd rather just find a shop that does take Paypal even if I end up paying a bit more…it's a matter of personal choice.

So, with that said, if you are NOT accepting Paypal, you really are doing yourself a dis-service. Here in the UK, we have some large "brick and mortar" stores now accepting Paypal (in their online shops) - a good example is "Boots" which is a very large chain of Chemists. Of course, within the Marketing Community, 99.9% of Marketers use Paypal, as well as Clickbank.

So, why aren't YOU?

That said, if any bloggers reading this would like to review my latest product, email me on oscshops AT gmail DOT com - if your price is reasonable, and your readership is targetted, let's go forwards. The product in question is a tool which makes posting announcements to Wordpress (and particularly multiple Wordpress blogs) reasonably uncomplicated.

You'll get payment, as well as a free copy of the software to test. After all, there is nothing worse than seeing a review and knowing the reviewer hasn't really used whatever it is they are promoting, eh?

Ta.

Paypal Scare Stories

We have all seen the "paypal sucks" type of sites - but in general, I firmly believe that Paypal offer a great service at a great price. I've never really had any major problems with Paypal, with a Seller Rep in excess of 1400, so I think I have a broad enough experience of selling to state that I could not be happier with the service.
