Presell Pages
Anyone dabbled with this kind of thing - presellpageman.com ?
Only problem is that you need to stump anything between 100-600 bucks *per month* for the privilege. Big companies will of course have the marketing budgets to cope with that but its an awful lot for just one embedded article, even on a popular site.
You can also offer presell pages on your popular sites - might consider that tho' I don't know (yet) what sort of revenues to expect. If he's selling hosted content for several hundred per month, the kick-back should be good?

The company I work for sells this type of hosted content and our customers love it.

I created an account so that I could see an example of one of their content pages. I never made it that far though.
I don't think this service comes anywhere close to being worth $500 a month. This is just my gut instinct, maybe if they made it easier to see an example of their work in action I could make an informed assertion.
The website speaks the language of SEO very well. They talk about 'human interest traffic', and how there articles are interesting to people, not just google. But in internet marketing, I trust no one. After all, what if your hyperlink only appears in a laundry list?
Also, what type of traffic is this going to deliver to you? I just don't see how putting your link on an existing article can compare to a customized piece of content. A custom article can work like foreplay and make the reader a customer before they ever see your site. A generic article on the other hand just attracts curiosity.
Just my opinion.
