Another Product is complete!
One of my subscribers wanted a way to incorporate a "Rate this Article" star rating system on his website. The website is made without a database, and so I had to come up with a way for each article to have it's own rating but without the use of a MySQL (which would have made it easy).
Instead I had to mess about with text files, but with some "interesting" use of PHP, it took me about an hour to code it up and get it tested. Of course, it looks fairly basic;

Of course, it can easily be made prettier with some "star images" etc. And that's something that I will probably do and release one "with images" and one without.
I call this a product as I will be selling it as an add-on module to my Site Building system. It'll be very inexpensive, but remember, all I have to do to turn a profit is make enough sales to cover one hour of my time. Not bad.
Of course, I have to zip it up and put it into my download/payment system, but that's only a few moments work. Oh, and write up a document showing how to install it (again, only a few moments work).
Update on my eBook (product launch last week)
So far, it has sold 4 copies. As of yet, I have not turned a profit on it. I haven't sent out a mail to my previous buyers yet, but I will do soon. I fully expect this ebook to make a handsome profit over the coming months. I have not even put it up for public sale yet!

I use one on a few sites. One of them is http://www.hownifty.com though I don't keep that site very up to date.
If you want the link to the download for the free wordpress plugin let me know as I will have to go diggin as I don't remember the name of the plugin off the top of my head and can't be arsed to go log into the admin unless you need the name lol

Dave, Dave, Dave… read the flipping article first. He has no wordpress or sql, it means the link you gave is useless! (Smacks self in face).
And yes, I am talking to myself in the third or fourth person, not quite sure which

If anyone knows a *good* Ajax programmer, please ask them to contact me on oscshops AT gmail DOT com - I quite fancy the idea of changing this to an Ajax app, as it'll make it look much nicer.

If that is as a result of my post then cool
Just download the wordpress plugin and hack it about to strip the ajax part out
