You can't tell a book by it's cover
Today, I've been playing around with Photoshop and some ecover actions I purchased a while back. When releasing a product, it's always an idea to give a graphical representation of what the prospective buyer is actually purchasing.
They say an image is worth 1000 words, and in Internet Marketing, that's definitely true. Here's my effort at a cover for my latest product;

Not so bad for a Photoshop Dummy. It'll certainly do for my purposes
If you are into creating digital products, I highly suggest that you create (or have created) a "software box" or "ebook cover". There are programs available that can do it, but these are pretty limited. I use some photoshop actions I bought. I also have had some done by a designer (which are outstanding).

G,
My graphics are appalling so wondered just how difficult these sorts of things are? is the image of the lady sourced as normal from a stock site?
Graphics in general are an area I want to improve in and it may mean upgrading PS.

Paul, your right, the girl image is sourced from bigstockphoto.com and then I put the text and some more layers on (eg the black stripes at the top and bottom), then played the action. The hardest bit is thinking up the images for the covers, the actual action is an absolute snap. I use PS6, never bothered upgrading as I don;t use PS often enough to want to bother.

I'm now into profit on this eBook. Good stuff.
This is the beauty of a digital product.
I have a large list of buyers of my templates, so I'll whiz out an email to them this week and see if any sales come of that - after all, the best customers are those who have already purchased…
