Countdown to Launch
Tomorrow I will be releasing my latest product.
My list of to-do's for tomorrow's launch is as follows;
- Create Video showing the product in use
- Create Video of installation of bonus product
- Create Video of bonus product in use
- Create User Manual for Bonus Product
- Sort out other bonus products
- Package it up into my automated payment/download system
- Make the webpage for the product
- Set up hosting
- Upload webpage and set live
I registered a nice domain a while back and the nameservers are already set up. So once I complete step 9, it'll be all systems go.
$7 or not? That is the question.
I'm debating whether to sell it via a $7 script and then allow other people to sell for 100% kickback, or just to sell it as normal.
I'm thinking the product has very limited appeal so I might just sell this one normally. Undecided as yet, but whichever way I go it's only a matter of changing step 6 to suit.
I'll post again once I have it all online.

Delayed for a couple of days, as I decided to rejig the product slightly and place emphasis on one of the bonuses (which will become the product), and the previous product becomes a bonus. This change should make it easier to sell, but means a bit extra work at the outset for me. Hopefully, maybe, live tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure I speak for everyone who reads your blog when I say "Ok Gary, what is it?"

Just out of curiosity, what different forms of products do you sell (e.g. e-books, scripts, templates)?
What do you find sells the best and what are the pros and cons of each different type of product?
I tried to find if you had done a post that explains what I'm asking … perhaps you could answer these questions in a separate post??

JC; the actual product is just a boring eBook (which was going to be a bonus item). I hope to finish it all up tomorrow and set it live over the weekend.
Dominic; I think there is not much I do _not_ sell
I sell templates, eBooks, PHP scripts, licenses, videos, desktop tools, action scripts, websites, blogs, domain names, advertising space, text links - all sorts of stuff! Just about the only thing I have not tried selling is a podcast. I have written about it before in this blog…

I managed to get the launch up and running with one of my no hype, no BS sales pages. We'll see how it goes.

Worked out that I am so far at 3.7*ROI. Not bad.
I still have not made the product publically available (it's only been available to members of KA forum), and I stil have not sent out a broadcast email to buyers of the product that this new product links into. Once I get that email out, I should sell quite a few copies, but there is no rush.
