First Day Back (and the rest of 2007)

Today is the first day I've actually sat at my desk and done anything in what seems like an age. I hope you all had a great Xmas and a cracking start to the New Year.

Over the holidays I've been out and about, visiting friends and relatives - so I've been reduced to working on the laptop. It's been good though to take a proper break.

So, what's up for 2007?

Same old, same old. I'll still be creating products and sites for the coming year. I'm not going to set any business resolutions as I never stick to them anyway. Suffice to say that my target for this year will be $100k - that's an arbitrary figure plucked out of the air. It has no significance other than being a nice round number. To achieve this level of income means a move away from Adsense, and much more concentration on the business.

What of 2006?

During 2006, I had to take a few months off, and towards the end of the year I lost my way badly. All in all, I suspect I actually sat at my desk, actually working for less than 100 days. Looking back at my resolutions for 2006;

Create at least 15 Adsense/ClickBank AIS sites per month.
Failed. Though I started out well, I let more than a few domains lapse (some of which were good sites). Towards the summer I started concentrating on Affiliate type sites, and these did much better than Adsense.

Implement a new long-term AIS to replace the Oscommerce Books site that I sold.
Failed. I never did start up such a site.

Get at least one person per month out of the AIS starting blocks.
I actually did this! Yippeedeedoodah.

Create at least one subscription based AIS.
I also managed to set up a subscription service, which has around 50 paying subscribers. Not bad. Not really an AIS, but certainly an IS (Income Stream).

Rationalise my portfolio of web properties.
Yep, I offloaded lots of domains by either selling them or letting them lapse. I also bought lots more, ready for use.

This year, I hope that I'll be able to do a little bit more. As readers know, I have my flipping project underway which I am quite enjoying. Other than that, I have no real plans as yet.
