This one is pretty simple and leads to a nice amount of cash per sale - sell someone elses products as an Affiliate. The basis of being an Affiliate is very straightforward - you introduce a potential client to a product; if they purchase, you get a cut of the selling price.

An example is the latest "next big thing" doing the rounds, a digital product called "Ad Spy Tracker". It's a bunch of PHP scripts which you load up onto your website allowing you to track keywords. It costs $9.99 and Affiliates receive 100% of the selling price.

Another example is Amazons affiliate scheme for tangible products which pays a paltry 4%, rising on the basis of the number of sales per quarter.

Usually, affiliates receive 40% to 75% of the cost of a digital product and 4% to 10% of the cost of a tangible product. As you can plainly see, selling affiliated products can be a very nice way to (re)create an income.

A typical example

In this blog, I sometimes talk about `Internet Marketing` products. If I have purchased and like the product, I usually place an Affiliate Link, so that I make some cash from you, my readers, should you elect to purchase the product I am talking of.

I also have a few other sites which are affiliate sites - particularly Joe Bucks style sites. I've found them to be very good.

Conclusion

Making Affiliate Sales is a sure way to success. All you, the affiliate, needs to do is pass a stream of traffic (hopefully somewhat targetted) to the Sales Page. Customer Service, payment etc is taken care of for you…

If you want to explode your Affiliate Prospects, you should have a read of Affiliate Project X, a book recently written which shows some good affiliation tricks and techniques. I wrote a review of the eBook here.

On a personal basis, I make around $600 a month selling Affiliated Products and Services - not too shabby at all. And I am still picking at the surface, I've not yet started drilling deep!
