ValleySchwag 4 arrives in the UK
Ok, so I got my ValleySchwag 4 package at long last, and it's a disappointment. I was expecting more than I received, considering that the wait has been long time since VS3.
So, what did I receive?
- A black T-Shirt with a "webshots don't blink" logo.
- A "webshots don't blink" mouse-mat (which has a "slot" where you can insert a photo). Would have been OK, but it's been mangled in the post, so that's one for the bin
- Another pack of perplexcity cards.
- 6 stickers
All in all, not a great haul of goodies, considering that this was supposed to be some super-fantastic package this time. Allied to this is the fact that the VS people have ditched Paypal and gone to TrustCommerce, means I'm going to cancel my subscription.
What's Bad:
~ long wait between packages
~ international is last in the queue for shipping
~ lack of paypal
What's Good:
~ in general, the packages are pretty decent (this latest package excepted)
~ it's cheap
All in all, a good 5 months of schwag in which I've received my moneys worth, but I feel the shipping schedule and lack of Paypal means I do not continue to subscribe.

Mine hasn't arrived yet, but HCG's has (to the same address) - She seems to have done a bit better than you, with 3 tshirts, some perplexity cards, a few stickers and a red cloth

I only got one T-Shirt too, from videoegg. It's pretty cool, so I'm happy.
This was my first package, I wasn't blown away, but I'm happy enough to stick with it for now. I don't mind the switch away from paypal. They don't have enough goodies to send out a package every month and the paypal subscription system wasn't flexible enough. I'd rather be charged when there's something cool available than have junk arrive every month.
I half-agree with you on the international shipping, it does seem to take a long time, but I'm amazed they're charging so little for it.

Like Burt said it was a long wait and wasn't overly impressed. Might give them another month though.

Oli; 3 t-shirts ?!?!? They must have lots of lady-sizes and not so many mens sizes.
Gavin, if it wasn;t for the switch from Paypal, I would probably still subscribe. For me, that's the killer.
Danny, pretty much the same; 5 payments made, 3 schwags received. 1 payment refunded, and waiting on the next refund.

I have to say I'd be quite disappointed if I recieved only 1 shirt, which I know is all they guarantee.
However, I guess I'm somewhat lucky that I'm a lady and quite clearly not that many of us subscribe to this.
It's a shame you've decided to ditch this burt as it's one of the few things I can take part in on this blog!
Oh well, I'll just have to rely on Oli to blog the next lot of Schwag!

I'm a lady as well, but I got a measly package as well (one shirt, repeats in stickers and buttons). After the long wait I got my package, described it and lamented in the official Valleyschwag blog, got a somewhat rude response from whoever manages the blog, and then got refunded despite sending an e-mail to them saying I'm cancelling but would like to use that extra payment for next month. They never e-mailed me about my complaints. I know they are new, but the excuses are getting old. Cancelled, but I'll watch the blog to see how things go.

I've been billed 4? 5 times? And I've recieved 1 refund and 2 schwags.
I'm not impressed to say the least- they get 1 more try before I ditch them and recover my money.

I never got my VS4 package, and they have now cancelled their subscription service.
