There seemed to be quite a few fans posting on this blog last series. Looks like it's back on Thursday 3rd August at 8pm (BBC2)

Evan Davis presents a series in which budding entrepreneurs get three minutes to pitch their business ideas to five multi-millionaires willing to invest their own cash to kick start the business. Pitches include: a water-free egg boiler, an innovative toilet seat cover, a hi-tech coffee table, an invention to stop baths overflowing and many more

Two new dragons are listed on the BBC site

Richard Farleigh

Australian multi-millionaire Richard is a full time business angel who has possibly invested in more new UK companies than any other British investor.

Deborah Meaden

British multi-millionairess, Deborah Meaden launched her own glass and ceramics export company straight out of business college, before setting up one of the first Stefanel fashion franchises in the UK.

Great stuff, this is one of my very favourite programs, aloong the The Apprentice.

This series of Dragons Den is 10 episodes. Previous series have only been 6 episodes.

Disappointed that Doug Richard is not on there, as he was the one Dragon who truly knew his onions.

yes, it is about time they come with something new, I've seen all the "best of" re-runs around midnight :)

Anyone not liking this series as much as previous ones?

It all seems a bit predictable now. Nobody will get investment all the way through, and the people shown last will get it.

The last person to pitch last night went on at about 8:50, and had a safety related invention. Did we really need to wonder whether he'd get his investment? ;)

Duncan Bannatyne keeps ranting on about how fed up he is with everyone who comes on, and genuinely seems so. I don't think he'll be back for any future series.

Indeed so, it was fairly obvious that he would get the cash. However, don't you think that he was too laid back to be a business partner?

Well… they did make it pretty clear that they were only investing on the strength of the actual product itself…
