Mid Month Round-Up
15 days into the month and I have acheived this months target in full. Mainly due to sales of template packs as I released a new product AIS (obviously, templates) which ties into the SmArticle product. The actual SmArticle sales have not been included in my monthly total as yet, as I am not taking care of that side of things on that particular income stream. I just get a paypal payment the first of each month.
Also you remember I mentioned that a good sales tactic is to make one product link into the next? This alone has raised a nice amount of cash as the PLR Manna product has sold quite a few copies.
So, what this means in real terms is that this month is likely to be my highest month ever, and would hope to be able to take some time off during August to do my planned bike ride (more details on that to follow).
The SmArticle is starting to virally take off, so that will be interesting. As more sales happen, more template packs will be sold; this is where my income is received as I don't actually receive very much at all from each SmArticle that is sold. I'll know more the next time I want to do a JV, so would be able to better understand the whole JV "thing"…
Next up, I want to build up a site which sells eBooks - I have about 10 eBooks ready to rock and roll, and am in the process of putting together a site to sell them on. I decided not to go down the route of eBay for these digital products.
You will recall that I am still working on a "real" business, which will be ebay based. I think I have made a breakthrough on that, but remains to be seen whether I can go forward with it or not. I will most likely know for sure towards the end of the summer.

Burt,
Great update. Did you foresee making very little from the JV product, and made the template pack as a back to having a small amount fo sales or where the templates a natural extension of the SmArticle product which you were going to create anyway?
Thanks

Nice! About your e-book site, are those 10 ebooks already done and did you write them or have someone else do it?
Are you still going to use dotwidget?

I am seeing the SmArticle everywhere by everyone. Even if you just have a small percentage from it, it should be impressive.
I have also heard some very good things about pages made with it. High PR and high click through, exactly what it promises.
Good luck.

Ray;
It was always inthe back of my mind to further monetise the SmArticle by bring added value to it. I've actually done this in 2 ways (templates, and aff links built in). I also have 1 further monetisation idea that I am at the moment trying to get my head around, will post more on that in the near future.
Dave;
Probably going to use osCommerce, as I want to lever that particular piece of software once again (to get more sales of my oscommerce templates).
James;
I haven't really seen SmArticle being promoted anywhere. Mind you, I don't subscribe to many marketers newsletters and so on. Cheers,
