ValleySchwag #3 arrives in the UK!
This morning, Valley Schwag #3 arrived on my desk. Without much hesitation I ripped it open and once again I am impressed! I'm sure you want to know what I received and so;
First up is the T-Shirt, a very nice quality, heavy cotton, Fruit of the Loom in Dark Blue with a "jumpcut" raygun logo on it. Sweet! Must be honest and say that I have never heard of jumpcut, so I did a google and found out it's a site/tool to make movies directly from your browser, but also a repository of videos much like youtube or google movies? Not sure to be honest…
Then we have the other little bits and pieces;
- eurekster keychain with LED
- nvidia stick on light "thing" - squeeze it and it lights up, then you can stick it to a wall or wherever
- ioda badge
- a fortune cookie from "mozes" - you need to text a number to get a fortune…
And of course, the stickers;
- smiley face from snubster.com
- edgeio (listings from the edge)
- a free wi-fi sticker from metrofreefi.com.
- ioda sticker (this is the only thing that is the same from last month, so that is good!)
- a pink abazab sticker
All in all, I am really happy with the package. Consider that the postage alone was $10.50, the packaging must have been another $1 or so, and I paid just $20 for all the stuff inclusive of post and packing - it's the bargain of the month!
Good work, Valley Schwagers!

I don't really see how the package is worth $20 (over £10)?
Think I'd rather buy a couple of t-shirts from the nearby outlet centre and live without the stickers and other junk!

You don't think that all that stuff, including a t-shirt is worth £11 ?
Where do you shop at? Matalan

Hehe
Well since you ask, I normally get my t-shirts from the McArthur Glen outlet centre in Ashford - last few were only £4-5 each from Petroleum.
Apart from the t-shirt, I didn't see anything of much value in the pack.. stickers, keychain etc..
NB - I know a lot of people who swear by Matalan clothes!

Burt, I didn't have you down for a fashion nazi! There's nowt wrong with a bit of bargain huntin'
Anyway, if we were the type of people paying over the odds for a t-shirt with a Nike logo over one for a fiver that does the same job, we wouldn't be very good entrepreneurs!
Nor would we be here reading about your time and money saving tips!
x

You know what happened the first and last time I went shopping in Matalan
I have another story about Argos - happened last friday. I'll post it up tomorrow. Damn those pesky shopkeepers.
Seriously though, I'm not a label person - my one and only pair of trousers came from La Redoute for g'ness sake
I normally am found in t-shirt (tesco's) and shorts (expensive I admit, I only wear Altura shorts).
I do have Nike trainers on, but that's because they were £15, reduced from £60 odd.
Nope, me and fashion do not mix. That is for sure.

"I don’t really see how the package is worth $20 (over £10)?"
If nothing else, it's a bit of fun - recieving useful stuff (shirts etc) is a bonus
I got similar stuff to that, except a RubyRed Labs shirt instead of that one, and a little poster thing instead of the key chain.

I got my first and last valleyschwag. Thought I'd try it, but what a waste of money.
Inside the brown paper (not disimilar to the type you would get from a farm shop) was..
- T shirt promoting imeem.com - Nice design and I would have worn it had it not been like xxxl. (Did we state a size on registering?) I cant remember, I generally wear large uk sized shirts anyway but this one is like a tent!
- 4 stickers - sabme.com/zab, snubster.com, yahoo, edgeio
- Killer Tracks CD with 1 shit song.
- The Ioda badge, LED keychain and fortune cookie

I wouldn't be happy if I got the wrong size of short, you had to tell them the size when you signed up.
But that apart (assuming the shirt was the right size), I think what you got is definitely £11 of value, for sure.
