UPDATE; appears this page is near the top of Yahoo for searches on "smarticle templates" - if you are looking for SmArticle templates, you need www.smarticletemplates.com - the only official supplier of templates for SEO SmArticle Composer!

I've been so busy over the last few weeks and months, introducing new sites and services that I haven't really sat back and looked at the sites I'm actually running. Because the majority of my sites are "fire and forget", it gets hard to keep track!

Blogs:

  • This one!
  • One other (technology/lifestyle blog).

Adsense Sites (Black Hat):

  • 1 Niche Portal Builder Site

Adsense Sites (Grey Hat):

  • 15 Niche Creator Sites (a diverse range of subjects)

Adsense Sites (White Hat):

  • 10 SmArticle Sites
  • 1 "1 page" Adsense Site

Affiliate Sites:

  • 1 Health Food Site

Product AIS:

  • PLR Manna
  • NC Templates
  • NPB Templates
  • osCommerce Templates
  • SmArticle Templates

eBook Sites:

  • 1 site selling a Wholesale Guide
  • 1 site selling a "get rid of acne" guide

Other Sites:

  • 1 site giving away a menu (which people can pay to license)
  • 1 site where people have paid to sponsor a page

JV Venture:

  • SmArticle Site Building Tool

I now have enough AIS sites to make a good income each month with very little work - however, my aim is to create an extra 100 SmArticle sites before the end of the summer.

After this, my next adventure will be to look into some sort of real site - buying and selling products, probably on eBay., and perhaps with an osCommerce based website.

I feel like an idiot asking this:
    What is a SmArticle Site?

    Also:
    Is the NPB site worthwhile?

Excellent post Gary - With a lot of your posts getting a little more cryptic - (I understand that you cannot post to many details about your JV projects) - it is nice to get a very detailed breakdown of the sites you have up and running.

This is something I have been wondering about for a while now and it would be great if some of the other internet entrepeneurs that hang around your blog could post some similar info.

One thing that has surprised me hugely from this post is the relatively small number of sites you have up and running. From following your blog and some other forum posts you have made about buying up domain names, I was expecting a much larger inventory.

If this is your full line up then I guess that it kind of proves that quality can certainly outweigh quantity with regards to bringing home the bacon. Having a rough idea of what your monthly income is from these sites shows that a vast array of near worthless sites can be far less effective than a few highly targetted sites.

Couple of quick questions you can maybe clear up in future posts:-

What is the difference between your Black hat site and your Grey hats? I am assuming one the one is near scraper/dynamically generated while the grey hat has more content, although maybe only copied/rehashed articles.

Where does the majority of your adsense income come from? Is it from the black/grey hat sites, the white hat adsensers or the product sites?

Finally, good luck with the "real" site. Given your knowledge of osC, I would expect it to be an out and out success and it may well surprise you how effective it can be. I know that even with my relative lack of knowledge, my online store is now outselling my bricks and mortar store, by quite some margin - Of course, its not AIS, its the day job… But its still nice to know that you can take orders day or night - even when you are sitting down, beer in hand, watching the world cup!

    God Bless the Internet.

Cheers and thanks for a very inciteful post,

    Rich

James; No-one knows what a SmArticle site is as the software has not yet been released…only 4 people in the world have the software at this time. It's a site building tool…due to be unleashed on the public very shortly.

NPB Sites are not great. I need to get around to swapping it out to something else.

Rich; This is my full line-up. Obviously some sites take more work than others (eg the osCommerce Templates offers a template upload service). Other take no work, eg the adsense sites.

What is the difference between your Black hat site and your Grey hats? I am assuming one the one is near scraper/dynamically generated while the grey hat has more content, although maybe only copied/rehashed articles.

You have it spot-on. The BH site is just scraped, worthless web spam basically. The GH sites are article based bu using articles that lots of other people use.

Where does the majority of your adsense income come from? Is it from the black/grey hat sites, the white hat adsensers or the product sites?

My Product Sites. The sale of one $97 product is an awful lot of Adsense Clicks :D

    God Bless the Internet.

    Indeed!

Oh, and I have around 150 unused domains as well!

Hi (is it Gary or Burt, I'm confused!)

I think this is an important stock-check todo. I've bought quite a lot of domains and have got alot of site semi-completed. The day I listed all the domains in a spreadsheet, detailed were they were hosted, what the site was about, and highlighted in red all the ones that weren't making any money, was the day I got my finger out my doofer and actually focused on building instead of reading/learning/forum-ing.

And it's been up and up since then!

    Hiya Andy :)

It's Gary (or Burt) - Burt is my nickname on most forums and all over the net ;) On some forums my nickname is Passenger57…

    Cheers, Gary

Nice one, Burt :) It's good to take stock regularly and see exactly how things are going on.
I'm going to take Andrew's advice and start a spreadsheet to keep track of everything, lol. Cheers.

Rich, I misread your question. For the Adsense Income, the highest earner is one of my SmArticle sites, however that is only because I send it a lot of traffic. 2nd is the "1 page" adsense site.

Most of my sites selling products make more money than sites just with adsense on.

Saying that I have one site with over 4000 susbcribers just has adsense on no products or affiliate products and its does provide a good income stream.

    Hope that helps,

    Kevin

    Hi Guys,

Forgot to say though adsens eis a good earner for me, but I think there's a time and place from it. Most newbies should look at promoting products first, getting traffic, and when you got enough traffic put adsense up, when you start off you are getting very little targated traffic it would be stupid to let it leave your site for 3 cents a click.

Link Deleted. Thanks for posting, but please do not link to pages that have no value. Thanks, Gary
