Steady but not spectacular
Project 2010 is still on the go. The site is up and is selling those Surname Histories, although I do want to redesign the site to make it look less clinical and more "homely" á la 1998 – I think that most people into Genealogy are not computer wizards!
Anyway, sales are steady but not spectacular, in fact they are pretty dire! I'm averaging 1 sale per week which brings me in £5 a week (of which about £3.70 is profit). I'm needing to do something to increase the bottom line, so if anyone has any thoughts on that, I'm all ears.
My first thought was to offer a service making this into a "business in a box". So, I offer an affiliate link to the surname software, create a site, buy domain and provide hosting for clients. All they need is a paypal account and a printer and some paper.
Another idea is to offer these sites and have the orders pumped straight through to me, and the site owner makes a quid per sale. Not sure the best way yet.
