Javascript is where the money is
Over the past few years, I've seen more and more websites implement javascript as standard part of their functionality. Google springs to mind with all the stuff they offer other than their search engine. Also hotmail, MSN and so on.
It seems to me that hardly anyone now surfs with Javascript off – it's become standard.
Anyway, recently I've been taking on more and more javascript based jobs, and I have to say that these are very well paying. Any monkey can make a HTML website, but when it comes to complicated javascript, there are not many that can actually make workable code.
Recently I've been working with a client to add a system of date bookings into an osCommerce shop. I found a datepicker jquery (javascript) codebase, which was integrated into the prodcuts_attribute admin page to allow the customer to select available dates on a per product basis. In the shop, these dates show as an attribute (again using a datepicker). I'll cover the project in a bit more detail on my other blog as it was interesting.
I suppose I am trying to say that by offering a service that is not offered by many people, you can charge more. Supply and Demand. if the Supply is low, prices go up!

Gonna have to lean more jscript, was pretty chuffed when I finally made a sliding menu system work how I wanted, I'm sure if I knew what I was doing it would be far easier and wouldn't have any glitches
