Today I did not have time for any more work on the new website.  But my plans are formulating…

Website

First stop will be to go to the Layout Gala to get a pre-made design template.  I will use this as a base and come up with some graphics and layout ideas to make it more pretty.

For the actual site, I only need a 1 column layout as I plan to make the page absolutely super-simple, so I'll probably just go with one of the fixed width layous and remove the two smaller boxes entirely.

Mechanics

For the actual page, I need four seperate functions;

1. A search facility to allow the buyer to check if their surname exists in the database.
2. A facility to allow the customer to choose the type of paper they certificate should be printed on and if they would like it framed or unframed.
3. A calculator to determine the price the customer should pay (for example, the framed version will cost substantially more than the unframed)
4. A paypal button to allow the customer to pay easily

Obviously I will talk more about these as I get them coded!
