Got My Haircut

So, the other day I got my haircut. Interesting, eh?

The cost was £8.00.

When I went to pay (by card) the hairdresser/receptionist said, here's £2 (and gave me 2 pound coins), and I'll put £10 on your card.

Fair enough, I thought.

It's only later thay I realised just how clever this is. By giving me £2, it was easy for me to give it back to her as a tip…in fact, it was just about impossible for me not to tip her!

The UK isn't really a tipping country - hardly anyone gives tips unless it's for exceptional service.

Thought I'd chuck the idea out there to see if you can adapt what this hairdresser is doing and apply it to your own business…

Who the hell pays for an eight quid haircut by card? Bet you were one of those types who paid for his morning paper and packet of fags with a cheque back in the 80s ;)

I got my haircut at a college (coz I'm not earning $100K a year online :)) and it cost me £1. Took 2.5 hours and needs cutting again (1 week later)
    False economy?
