Renewed Project: 5 Starred

After my post yesterday, I decided to knuckle down and get something online for 5 Starred.  It doesn't make sense not to have a page up on the domain at the very least…well, you know how when you start making somehting that should take 10 minutes, it gets a larger and larger job until you might as well just get the whole thing set up and live - it turned out that way for me this morning.  So I made a list of "stuff to do" to get this site/income stream up and running;

  1. Make a design for the site
  2. Put some copy onto the sales page and the thank you page
  3. Write an installation guide
  4. Make sure the Helpdesk works
  5. Set up an Aweber list for future announcements to buyers
  6. Test the script on PHP4 hosting
  7. Test the script on PHP5 hosting
  8. Set up Digital Product Delivery for the download
  9. Set up Digital Product Delivery for the Affiliates

All of that is done, and I am proud to present the all new, all singing, all dancing 5Starred.com - let me know what you think of the site design and any other aspect of the site or script.

Make money with me…

I set the price at a low $20 - this might well change in the future, who knows.  I believe the script will sell very well at this price point.  I pay 50% commissions so if you want to blog about the script, please use an Affilaite Link so that we all earn a bit of cash.  Click Here to read more details about Affiliation.  If you do like the look of earning a spot of cash with me, feel free to nab my box graphic in the previous post.
Going forward

Yesterday, I made a conscious decision to get on with some projects that have fallen by the wayside.  Next up is my "1 Month" Incremental Pricing idea - almost everything is in place for April 1st launch…

Gary, the only thing I would add would be a full demo of the script- the Club osC example is good because it shows a production application, but it only shows basic voting and thumbmails- there is no demo that I could find of the script showing the pagerank, alexa, etc. PHP5 features.

Good thinking! Link added into the sales page :)

Love that chick on the sales page Gary.

Who said there was no place for gratuitous usage of stock images? ;-)

Not sure whether this is intentional or not, but there's no price on the sales page? Not sure about others, but I'd find this a little off-putting.

    Cheers

    Stu

    Hot chicks ROCK!

Good catch on the lack of price.
    Ain't I great at sales pages ;)

Thanks. I grabbed a copy today and will try to get the script installed and working tomorrow … today was eaten by locusts.

Thanks for honoring the incremental pricing offer … whne I went to order this am there was no evidence of that scheme and I paid full price, in spite of what I had seen from the blogger who recommended me to you … but you refunded so all is well now. Like everyhting else online, the only thing worse than not having people come to buy is having people come to buy before you are ready or in too great a number … the deck is stacked against us all LoL. (just because I suffer from paranoia does not mean people aren't out to get me ;-)
