Another AIS started yesterday

Yesterday, I created a new 1 page AIS site, which sells a product. The package consists of three other products that I had already created over the past few weeks as part of my subscription service. The layout for the page is exactly the same as a layout I had made for a different site. No domain cost as I tagged the page onto one of my other sites, in a subfolder. Maybe, I might make a new domain for it, as it is possible that I will want to sell it off in the future.

I was able to put it all together, zip it up, create the "sales page" and plug it into Digital Product Delivery within about 20 minutes. I then blasted out an email to around 70 people who would be able to use the product - the product is very much linked with a different product I sell. These 70 are buyers of the linked product ;)

As of right now, I have had about 25 unique visitors on the page, and 2 sales, for a grand total of $42. Hardly going to make my millions with this AIS, but it's another string to the bow, eh?

As the whole set-up only took about 20 minutes, I suppose that $42 is a decent return. I suspect that this AIS will sell more, but if it doesn't, well, I already made my money back.

Out of curiosity, why don't you ever mention details about your AIS sites?

There's no point in doing so - I don't promote my products on this blog. Those readers of this blog who would be interested in my products would be able to find them if they tried ;)

Out of curiosity, why don't you use a real email address? ;)

Ah, I was expecting something more along the lines of not wanting to skew stats. You guys have a modus operandi that I haven't seen on other similar sites.

I had an email forwarder on my domain that I used only for commenting on blogs, and after months of use I began getting piles of spam everyday. That means it was either a) sold, or more likely b) someone's insecure blog database was hacked. Since I never received a legitimate email at that address, there was no point in keeping it.

Well, this blog isn't really an outlet for me to pimp my products to readers - this blog is mainly an outlet for me to talk about what I'm upto, what I have planned, what works, what doesn't.

Most of this blog isn't really even about Internet Marketing. It's more little tidbits of stuff, that a reader (if they tried hard enough) would probably be able to find out lots more.

These days I really only promote a very few products/services on this blog, and these are things that I use on a day-in/day-out basis - that impact my bottom line positively. This blog isn't like others that will promote any old crap just for the sake of a few affiliate sales.

I also try not to post the same claptrap that others come out with - it seems a majority of bloggers will get an email about something, or see something on one of the "big" blogs - and then just copy the info. What's the point - you can read that crapola on 100 other blogs. What you read on this blog, can mostly (though not always), only be found on this blog.

It's a good MO in my opinion :)

The email question was only rhetorical, really ;)
