Top Gear and Making Money Online
On british TV, we have a popular motoring program called "Top Gear". It's presented by three guys who are basically Car Geeks. It's quite a light-hearted look at motoring issues, normally consisting of them driving fast cars in unlikely places.
Yesterdays episode included a race from one side of London to another. I suppose it must be about 20 miles or so. The race pitted a bicycle, against a car, against public transport, against a high powered speed-boat. Whoever got from Point A to Point B the fastest is declared the winner.
So who won the race?
Well, it's obvious to me which would win, I hope it's obvious to you also.
What does this have to do with Making Money Online
Well, my thought is that sometimes it's necessary to look at things from a slightly different angle…
In other words, if you have a task that needs doing, don't always use the tool that is built for the task - sometimes it's beneficial to use the tool that one would think is unsuitable…or if you do something in a certain way, why not try to change your habits to see if you can make yourself more effective at what you do.
If you can save 10 minutes per day by beinbg more effective, that adds up 60 hours over the course of a year. That's 60 hours for you to do something else entirely. In 60 hours I could set up 10 or 12 websites!
My question to you;
Are you stuck in your ways? Why not try using tools that you have on your computer in order to see if those tools are quicker/better/stronger than what you usually use.
In the case of Top Gear, we know that Cars are generally built to go from Point A to Point B - yet the car trailed in last and by a good 15 minutes. Oh, and if you hadn't already guessed, the bike won.

As an aside, I saw the 3 Top Gear presenters live on Saturday at the MPH Show in Birmingham!

I catch Top Gear clips on YouTube from time to time (I don't believe they are broadcast on any US Cable channels in my area) and I enjoy their odd races. Another that comes to mind was when they pitted a Bugatti Veyron against a Phantom jet- good fun

If you chose the appropriate start and end points, the powerboat would win, but the bike wins hands down in all other cases.

"but the bike wins hands down in all other cases."
Except where you don't want to end up at your destination covered in sweat and dressed like the only gay in the village
