You Scratch My Back…

I've been quite impressed with the Scratchback system as a buyer of links. I bought links on all the blogs in the 5starred top 100 (so long as the link was only $1 - I'm a cheapskate). Seeing drips and drabs of traffic, but nothing much.

Anyway, I want more links, but I don't want to pay for them. So here's an idea for you scratchback users…

The scratchback widget is sort of "designable", and I know that there are not many people with the design "flourish" to make something that looks decent. So, how about I make a few scratchback designs - and if you want to use one, you simply give me a link back from the blog on which you are using it.

In other words, you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours.

Here's a couple of graphics I knocked up - I think they are a (bit) nicer than the usual skins.

So, if you are interested in getting a scratchback design, let me know. I'll make you one in return for a link on your blog.

My feelings on rehashed 90's blog rings aside, this is a great idea to help others and get some backlinks!

Burt, Can you construct a widget that can be thin enough to fit in my blog. It would replace the links box i have now for SB.
    Thanx,

Joel, I think that Scratchback people will have to create some differently sized designs first. Get onto Jim at SB to come up with some more flexible design options ;)

SB seems like a good widget. But unfortunately it breaks up to four pieces on our site.
