Another Aff Payout. Another piece of Bike Kit.
I received another payout from one of my monthly Affiliate earnings, it was only just over $100. When translated to Uk Pounds, it's about £45 or so. I've been after a new saddle for my bike and so I bought a "Brooks B17" (basically a high quality leather saddle) which cost £46 including postage.
So, once again, I use my Aff earnings to buy something that'll be useful for me "in real life". My next purchase is going to have to be a rear pannier rack - I have to order this in from America, as my bike does not have the necessary brazings to accomodate a "normal" pannier rack. So that's going to have to wait until I receive another Affiliate payout.

Wow. Do they still make those? I bought a B15 'Swallow' cutaway model in 1957 - and a can of rather smelly saddle soap (think it contained whale oil).

They sure do. I'm finding it a "pain in the arse" (figuratively and literally) to break in. Mind you, I've only managed to do 100 or so miles since purchasing it. Another few hundred and it'll be great I hope.

Check the design of whatever rack your buy. My buddy's collapsed from metal fatigue in the middle of Exmoor on a rainy, misty day. Vibration from unsprung wheels creates quite a tough environment.
